Beautiful as Butterflies/Bela Como Borboletas

Mila and I are getting crazy excited about our baby. For anyone who hasn’t seen our baby Sophia’s room, it’s filled with all kinds of fun things.  The walls are covered in decorations, her crib is looking beautiful, and we have so many clothes for her, we don’t even know what to do with it all.  All of this is thanks to so many of our friends and family making it possible for us to have.  Though there are a few things that we would still like to get, we feel like we are so ready to have this baby.

We just took a photo of Mila and her beautifully big belly.  Here it is:

These are the greatest and most important people in my life.  I am such a lucky man. Can’t wait to see my baby for the first time.  I can just see myself and Mila looking at her face and just crying.

Since it’s Sunday, I thought I’d just write a quick thought.  Recently I worked on creating a video for my sister, Angie, to present at a Relief Society activity and one thing that Elder Holland said in a conference talk about the women of the church was, “somehow the too-often unheralded women in this church are always there when hands hang down and knees are feeble. They seem to grasp instinctively the divinity in Christ’s declaration: “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these … , ye have done it unto me.” (General Conference, Oct. 2010)

Mila e eu estamos animados demais por nosso bebê. Para quem não viu o quarto do bebê Sophia, está preenchido com todos os tipos de coisas divertidas. As paredes estão cheias de decorações, o berço está muito bonito, e temos tantas roupas para ela, que não sei mesmo o que fazer com tantas. Tudo isso é graças a muitos de nossos amigos e familiares que fizeram o possível para que nós tenhamos. Embora haja algumas coisas que ainda gostaria de ter, nós sentimos que estamos tão prontos para ter o bebê.

Estas são as pessoas mais incríveis e importantes na minha vida. Eu sou um homem de sorte. Não vejo a hora de ver meu bebê pela primeira vez. Já posso ver eu e Mila olhando seu rostinho e chorando.

Já que é domingo, eu gostaria de postar um pensamento rapidinho. Recentemente, eu trabalhei na criação de um vídeo para minha irmã, Angie, para apresentar em uma atividade da Sociedade de Socorro e uma coisa que Elder Holland disse em um discurso na conferência sobre as mulheres da igreja foi “De alguma forma as mulheres, muitas vezes pouco reconhecidas nesta igreja estão sempre lá quando as mãos estão cansadas e os joelhos estão fracos. Elas parecem compreender instintivamente a divindade na declaração de Cristo: ‘Em verdade vos digo que quando o fizestes a um destes…a mim o fizestes’. (Conferência Geral, Outubro de 2010)”
