What a Day Off!

Originally posted on March 17, 2012

Yesterday was a day full of surprises. My amazing husband decided to continually surprise me all day long. First, He pretended to go to work and left, but soon after that, he came home with a bouquet of flowers. He is so romantic and I love this about him because he is always making me feel important to him and is always expressing his love in so many ways.

I was so happy to see him. It almost felt like he came back from a trip or something like that. These last couple of weeks he’s been working really hard and has been away from home a lot, so I really missed him.
Sophia slept until 10:30, which is amazing. She’s been really good sleeping through the night and is making her mommy so happy with that.

Later, we went to Thanksgiving Point with Kelly and Xander to the petting farm. That place is so cute.

Sophia had a great time and she explored everything there. The funnest part was seeing her ride the pony. She was petting the pony’s hair the whole time and giggling about it. She was really enjoying her time.
Look how tired she is in this picture. That was our last ride on the wagon.

After that, we went home and rested.  More surprises were coming :) We dropped Sophia off at Kelly’s house and went “somewhere”.
I thought about many things that Ricky was planning to do with me but going to a Play didn’t cross my mind. It was a big surprise to do that because I’ve never been to a play before and had no idea how it would be. The play was great, really funny, I had a blast. It’s called Xanadu.
So, all I have to say is how grateful I am to have such a wonderful eternal companion. Thats the best part of this. He is mine forever! We are so best friends, so in love. He treats me like a Queen and I feel his love daily through many gestures and words.  Im grateful to have this opportunity to be with my family for eternity, and I know that these simple actions in our lives can build our mansion in Heaven and if we endure in our faith, doing our part in the plan, Heavenly Father promises us  eternal happiness. This is the truth that can help us to have the desire to be better and to make sacrifices to achieve our eternal goals. Love you Babe!
